The April 2016 Ottawa real estate statistics increased by 9.4 percent from February 2015, with a total of 1,714 residential properties sold. A result most likely due to the nice weather and fresh spring market. Of those 1,714 sales, 1,450 of them were residential, and 264 of them were condominiums.
According to the president of the Ottawa Real Estate Board (OREB) Shane Silva, "Inventory levels at the end of the month remain healthy heading into, what is normally, the most active month of the year for Ottawa Real Estate Board Members”.
The sale price of residential homes has increased from last April by 0.2 percent, with an average of $403,603in April 2016. Condominium prices have not had the same increase, but have instead declined slightly by 1.8 percent from last April, with an average of $261,017 in April 2016.
