Crystal Beach is a west end neighbourhood that used to be a part of the city of Nepean until it became part of the city of Ottawa in 2001. Crystal Beach is triangular and it’s neighbourhood limits stretch from Carling Avenue, to Moodie Drive in the west to Corkstown Road in the South.
Crystal Beach began to be developed in the 1960’s by Minto Developments however many newer homes were built by Garand Homes. As of 2011, the population in Crystal Beach was roughly 2.5 thousand people.
Crystal Beach is home to the Nepean Sailing Club, Andrew Hayden Park, and restaurants such as Crystal Pizza, Ralph and Sons’ Diner, Villa Lucia Supper Club and Yaseen Halaal Pizza and Bakery.
In 2015, the average sale price in Crystal Beach was $415,638 with 29 units being sold. This was a slight increase from the 2014 average sale price of $412,768 with only 25 units sold.
